AutoCell VIEW FAQs

Where do I get a building floor plan suitable for AutoCell VIEW?
Contact your building manager for an online floor plan. They typically have them to give to electricians, network installers, etc. The format can be in most of the common image formats (jpeg, gif, etc).

After dragging and dropping my floor plan onto the AutoCell VIEW screen, I receive an error indicating that the image must have a width and height between 500 and 3500 pixels.
Yes, the image must be at least 500 pixels in width and height. Use an image editor (such as Paint) to increase or reduce the size of the image. Save the new image and drag and drop it onto the AutoCell VIEW background.

Some of the icons show an uppercase L in them. What does this mean?
The licensing mechanism limits the number of Access Points that can be viewed at a given time. The title bar will indicate that the license limits have been exceeded. To purchase or upgrade the license, go to the following web page:

www.getautocell.com

I click on the start button and nothing seems to happen. What is the problem?
There must be at least one Autocell enabled Access Point in the selected network. To check this, find the IP address of the Autocell enabled Access Point. Make sure you can reach it from the system running AutoCell VIEW. If the Autocell enabled Access Point responds to a ping, it should be okay.

From the main AutoCell VIEW window, select the subnet tab defined for this Access Point. Make sure that the "use Subnet" checkbox is checked. Select the "IP Addr" tab and make sure that the "Subnet IP Address" and "Subnet IP Mask" are correct for this Access Point.

If all of these items are set correctly, press the "Start" button and the AutoCell enabled Access Point should appear within 20 seconds.
